Be sure that the cat food you choose for your feline companion has a similar statement on the label.
A statement from the Association of American Feed Control Officers shows that your cat's food has passed rigorous feeding tests.
However, in my opinion, this is a minimum standard that any pet food should meet. Don't even consider feeding your cat (or dog) any food that does not at least meet this minimum standard.
